  • What is it: This annual event is designed to provide information on the
  • programs of The Rotary Foundation and to share our District’s goals for the upcoming year. It is also an opportunity hear of the successes of The Rotary Foundation in our District.
  • Who should attend: Presidents, Presidents-Elect, Club Foundation Chairs, and all Rotarians interested in The Rotary Foundation.
  • Cost:  $20.00 per person (includes meal) 
  • 8 - 8:55 Registration, Food, Coffee, Fellowship

Zones 25 - 26 2007 Zone Institute

September 29 – October 5, 2008

  • Boise, Idaho 83714
  • What is it: This is the Governors Elect Training Seminar (“GETS”) as well as  training and information presented to 27 Rotary Districts. Although  the first two days are specifically for the training of the incoming  Governors, the remaining days are open to all Rotarians to learn  about the Foundation, Membership and other Rotary programs, and also includes an exposition of Rotary programs and products available for use to all clubs.
  • Who should attend: Governors-Elect, Governors-Nominee, District Foundation Chairs,  District Membership Chairs, and all interested Rotarians.
  • Cost:  To be determined

RI Regional Membership Conference

January 9-10, 2009

  • Phoenix, Arizona
  • What is it: The conferences are intended for all Rotarians who are committed to strengthening Rotary membership, but especially club and district membership development committee members, club presidents and officers, and district-level officers including governors. 
  • Who should attend: District Governors, District Governors Elect, District Membership  Chairs, Club Membership Chairs and all interested Rotarians.
  • Cost:  To be determined.

RI International Assembly

                      January 18 – 25, 2009

  • Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel
  • One Market Place
  • San Diego, California 92101
  • What is it: This is the final formal training for all incoming District Governors.   Rotary brings in all 529 Governors Elect from around the world for  this intensive training.
  • Who should attend: Governors-Elect
  • Cost:  Paid by RI

Districts 5750 & 5770 Bi-District Foundation Banquet

Date and Location To Be Decided

  • What is it: This is the annual banquet held to recognize contributions made to  The Rotary Foundation and is a joint effort between our District and  District 5770, which comprises most of southwest Oklahoma. 
  • Who should attend: The event is open to all Rotarians and their guests
  • Cost:  Usually a $100 donation to The Rotary Foundation, and the cost of  the meal (around $40).

District Committee Chair Training Seminar

   February 21, 2009

  • What is it: This seminar is to develop a cohesive team of district leaders who have the necessary skills, knowledge and motivation to support effective clubs.
  • Who should attend: Those Rotarians who have been appointed as assistant governors and as committee members.
  • Cost: To be determined.

President-Elect Training Seminar (PETS)

   March 6-7, 2009

  • The Atherton Hotel
  • Stillwater, OK
    THIS IS A CHANGE OF LOCATION FROM THE DIRECTORY
  • What is it: This is the Presidents Elect Training Seminar (“PETS”) in which all   incoming club presidents attend to learn how to conduct their office.
  • Who should attend: All incoming club presidents are required to attend this event.
  • Others, such as the following year’s president-elect and other club
  • officers can attend as well.
  • Cost:  The cost of the president-elects is included in the district dues,   other than travel and lodging.

Club Officer Training Seminar 2009

  • What is it: This is the event at which all club officers and directors receive
  •   training for their roles in the club.
  • Who should attend: All incoming club officers and directors, as well as all new members  wanting to learn more about the function of a Rotary Club
  • Cost:  To be determined, but usually around $20.

District Conference 2009

April 17-18, 2009

  • Rose State College
  • Professional Training & Education Center

  • Midwest City, OK 73110
  • What is it: This is our District’s celebration of Rotary and usually involves  presentations by the visiting Group Study Exchange team, as well  as presentations on other Rotary and Rotary Foundation programs  in which we are participating. It also includes an Awards Banquet  and the presentation of District and RI awards.
  • Who should attend: All Rotarians and their guest.
  • Cost:  To be determined.

District Leadership Seminar 2009

  • What is it: This is the annual celebration of Rotary and is usually attended by  Rotarians and guests from around the world. As many as 40,000   Rotarians have attended some conventions and this one in England  should be a great event! 
  • Who should attend: All Rotarians and guests
  • Cost:  To be determined

The site-selection committee for Zone 25/26 Institute 2009 has overwhelmingly selected Oklahoma City, OK, as the host city for the Rotary Institute, 28 September to 4 October 2009.
